I am a victum of the bait and switch. I was supposed to have a 30 yr. fixed and 2 days before settlement everything changed. My mortgage ended up being $1000 more a month than I originally planned on. The rate is about to go up again. Quite a few other things were happening simultaneously and the whole situation snowballed. The mortgage company refused to work with me and talked foreclosure almost from day one. At one point when I sent a check to become current they sent the check back because they were starting foreclosure. I took on an attorney who said I had a case because of things found in the settlement papers but nothing has developed with that. I have tried all different kinds of avenues but nothing has materialized. I have a small business on the property that I am trying to rebuild while working a fulltime and parttime job. The mortgage company now is in bankruptcy and they have a mortgage service representing them. I needless to say don\'t trust anyone but am willing to hear what you have to say.
