I have contacted Countrywide many times due to an address change that was done on my acct. that was not addressed by me, therefore no monthly statements were sent to my address. they were in the process of transferring all accts. to Bank of America and they would not take my payments without the statements.I also contacted them to help me in any way to try and catch up and nothing was ever done. I was never informed of a foreclosure date or nothing in that aspect. I just found out that papers were served thru our county for us to move. I did ask for assistance many times. I don't want to lose my home. If a date for foreclosure has been sent, why were we not notified? We always made our payments on time, until Countrywide started sending letters that we were 2 months behind. Which we weren't. Due to health problems and personal issues, we did fall behind on the last payments. But the main reason was because we would not receive our monthly statements.

I started falling behind due to IRS payments which were being taken out of my paycheck. I originally purchased my home in cash and then IRS threatened to take it away so I took out a loan using it as collateral. Twice Countrywide threatened to foreclosure and twice I came up with the money to keep it. But I Countrywide advised me Bank of America was taking over my loan and I would be sent a new package from them, but I never did. I waited for the package to see if payments were going to be the same, but never got it. Now I am faced with foreclosure, but I want my home especially since I paid for it in cash with money I received from an accident I had in 2001 and it means the world to me. I heard how the president had put aside money to held people like me, but I have never been told I can get help through his plan. Please help me. I do work and can make payments, but need to know how much to pay. Can't my back overdue payments be put together with what the total amount of the loan is and let me start making monthly payments again. At one point when I was notified I was going to be foreclosured, I was told that there was a stop due to something the president was proposing, and so I sent $1000 for a payment and it was sent back and said I had to pay all or nothing. I have tried but for trying to put closure to the IRS which I also feel has treated me wrongly since I have paid more than half of the $48,000 they originally said I owed and they still threaten me even though I only owe about $4-$6000 now. I am still paying the IRS but work and can make mortgage payments if someone just gives me a chance and a monetary figure to pay. Bank of America sent me a postcard size notice telling me Welcome as a new customer, but they never sent me any mortgage package as to what I had to pay. Foreclosure help with Bank of America
