My wife and I are currently in bankruptcy, however as our trustee payment went from 567 to 987 and our mrotgage payment was 2401.00 it was hard to meet all the bills.  Now there is a hearing tomorrow 11-13-08 to remove us from bankruptcy.  We have not been able to speak with our attorneys for the last month, they will not return our calls, and today I received a letter where the mortgage company wants to have the stay lifted so they can sell the property.  We would like to keep the house, but there have been so many things that have gone wrong with this process we just don't know what to do. We fell behind due to the rising cost of living.  Part of my income was bonuses but because sales are down there have been no bonuses for over a year.  Also the amount of our trustee payment increased, Our mortgage payment in $2400, and we have a paperroute which causes us to spend the check in gas.  Our situation has changed in that I believe we will no longer be covered by bankruptcy after 11-13-08 and that frees up $987 in our budget.  We also believe that if what we are behind in is put to the end of our loan or if we are given a workable chance to repay this amount we can do it.  A fixed rate loan with a lower interest rate would help a lot also.
