First my daughter was critical ill, and I had to move with her to help her because she is a single parent and has 8 yr old daughter. I fell behind in payments because my employer was delaying my tuition reimbursement. I made two payments in March of the four I owed. Because I did not receive the tuition money and wanted to pay something! They returned my payments a couple of weeks later and started foreclosure immediately. My husband was between jobs & we fell behind on our bills. I was two months behind & the mortgage company gave me a short amount of time to catch up or they were going to refer me to a foreclosure attorney. I sent in what I could (one payment) & they mailed it back. By that time, I had contacted them & filled out a workout packet but I was still referred to the attorney & put in foreclosure. Now, I was 3 months behind & I contacted the attorney for reinstatement figures. They had various fees added on & I could not pay them. I keep calling every other day, it seems, to see if my workout packet has been reviewed & no one can tell me anything. I have been served with civil summons papers & given my written response to the clerk of court. I have been waiting to see if I can handle this on my own but the clock is ticking & the foreclosure is continuing. Now I am techniqually 5 months behind when I probably could have been caught up now if they would have accepted my money. No. I did get an automated message on my voicemail saying that my workout packet had been reviewed & I would be getting a call from a representative in 5 business days. That was 3 weeks ago so I have been calling & leaving messages but no one is returning my call. My mortgage company is National City Mortgage.

We have tried to get Litton Loan Serv. to help us to get a loan modification but all they say is that we have to wait until our ARM resets. Mortgage note is about 294K. Home dropped in value to 230k per zillow.com. Our last Mortgage payment was made on Oct. 15 due to feelings of husband being laid off. Husband was laid off Dec. 17 from Floridatile where his income was 56k annually. We have not responded to citimortgage's sole mail correspondence requesting notification on any hardship information request. We currently have only one income (mine) totally 38K annually.
